Excellent Chinese food. They have the West Lake soup which is not a common item in ordinary Chinese restaurants around here. Good variety of dimsum.
Tonight, we had a large group of 12 sharing Chinese dishes. The dishes were very good and varied. The best ones were the beef with pea pods, the honey walnut prawns, the Young Chow Fried rice and the boneless spare ribs. The food came out hot and well prepared. King's Garden menu is extensive so there's usually something for someone...from vegetarian to pescatarian to carnivores. The staff was a bit hurried, but that is usually the case. Street parking as well as parking in private lot in the back.
I used to order this authentic dish called Beef and Egg from another restaurant that went out of business. I stumbled upon Kings Gardens website and noticed they had Shrimp and Egg. I called them yesterday to see if I could substitute the beef for the shrimp and they did it. Of course I would not know if it were good until I tasted it. I order the Beef and Egg and BBQ Ribs. Both were fantastic. I will be there at least once every couple of weeks for my two favorites. So good
We wanted to find a dim sum place in Rhode Island and tracked down Kings Garden via some Yelp research. We went around 11:30am on a Friday and was concerned at first that maybe it was a bad choice as we were the only customers however by 12:30 or so it started getting more crowded. They had a decent selection of dim sum. Overall the dim sum was decent for a smaller city and prices also reflected that. The server was attentive and nice. The restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere. The dining room was large so they can handle larger parties easily.
Delicious dim sum! Will definitely be back for more. Restaurant was clean and service was friendly.
Takeout from here never disappoints. Quality has remained consistently good, prices have remained reasonable.
